Of the 45 million mountain and road bikers in the USA, only some like myself have discovered that taking good care of our tired, overworked quadriceps, hamstring, glutes and calf muscles can provide an undeniable edge to our performance. As a middle-aged mountain biker, my leg muscles scream at me if I don’t take good care of them. They demand a solid pre-ride warm up routine and some post-ride TLC.
